Mediatek announced another chipset, and this time it's the successor of the popular and beloved MT6752, which is powering a lot of mid-range devices right now and already offers superior performance at a very low price point. Now the successor of this chipset will be the MT6755 and will be part of the Helio line-up, developed under the name Helio P10. The chipset will again be based on 8 cores but this time will use a big.LITTLE architecture consisting of ARM Cortex A53 cores with different CPU clocks and a maximum clock of 2GHz. Also, the graphics performance will receive a massive bump-up thanks to a dual-cluster Mali T860 GPU. The chipset will be built in a 28nm process for cost reasons, offer a Cat6 World Mode LTE modem, support for MiraVision 2.0 which includes ultra dimming and blue-light reduction, a new audio processor with an SNR of 110dB and support for RWWB camera sensors (catch up to twice the amount of light compared to RGB sensors) with up to 21 mega pixels.
This new MT6755 chipset sounds like a great deal to us and is scheduled to ship out to manufacturers in Q3 2015.
