And once again it is time for an unboxing here at ChinaMobileMag. This time it is the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro that has been provided to us by Xiaomi reseller Tradingshenzhen . It probably is the most powerful high-end device we tested here ever since the Vivo Xplay 3S.
Compared to the "normal" Xiaomi Mi Note, the Mi Note Pro offers quite some beefed up specs at about $580 which is a very good deal compared to similar devices on the western markets. The phone comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC which is powered by a 3,090mAh battery and drives a 5.7-inch 2k display, combined with a massive 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of fast EMMC 5.0 storage. The display is the same negative LCD panel with 95% NTSC coverage and a contrast ratio of 1400:1 that we found with the original Mi Note Pro, just with a higher resolution. The camera is based on a Sony sensor with 13 mega pixel resolution and the phone supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0. For the audiophiles among you, Xiaomi threw in a dedicated audio decoder with support for FLAC playback and a dedicated amplifier for optimum audio output.
The design still consists of a beautiful metal frame and 3D glass on the rear as well as 2.5D curved glass on the front. Now we are very excited to give the handset a shot for a week or two. Stay tuned for the full review here at ChinaMobileMag!
