UMi recently unveiled their newest flagship device they call the UMi Iron. This probably is their most interesting and premium-looking device ever since the UMi Zero. It's for the most part made from solid metal, except the upper and lower parts of the rear which are made from polycarbonate to enhance reception quality. Inside the phone we find a MT6753 octa-core SoC with World Mode LTE, a 5.5-inch 1080p Display, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of memory and a Sony IMX214 rear camera. The phone does support dual SIM as long as you do not use a Micro SD card. If you do, you will only have once SIM tray left since it is a combo-tray. Some highlights of the device are support for eye recognition and a special status LED on the lower area of the devices front. It also features a bright dual LED flash.
Now is this the best UMi phone to date? We will tell you soon within a full review of the UMi Iron. Stay tuned and enjoy the unboxing video meanwhile. The UMi Iron is currently up for pre-order and priced at about $180.
